Which languages?
AlsaTraductions manages translation:
- of your foreign language texts into French,
- of your French texts into foreign languages,
- in all other language combinations on request.
English into French (EN->FR) and German into French (DE->FR) translations are carried out and corrected in-house by our team (Matthieu and Klara). A partnership with no middleman, which guarantees you an unbeatable price, direct dialogue and shorter deadlines.
Translations in other language combinations (e.g. French into German FR->DE, Spanish into French ES->FR, German into English DE->EN, or any other combination) are carried out by translators carefully selected by us, and then corrected by a second professional.
For this we have an international network of specialist freelance translators, who always translate into their mother tongue. We favour collaboration with translators based in Alsace or in neighbouring regions whenever possible.
You will benefit from the whole range of our expertise in translation project management and we will remain your single point of contact even if you want to have a document translated into several target languages. As we work regularly with the same database of external translators, we are able to offer you competitive rates even for outsourced translations.
For whom?
AlsaTraductions manages translations for multinational groups, industrial enterprises, public services, SME, VSE and individuals. The translated documents may be for B2B (business to business) relations, B2C (business to customer) relations, in-house communications etc.
Which services?
All translation projects managed by AlsaTraductions include:
- Terminology management with translation memories. That way, the same sentence or the same technical term will always be translated in the same way. This ensures the consistency of your communication over time.
- Translation carried out by a professional translator who always translates into his or her mother tongue and specialises in the subject field covered by the text.
- Quality assurance through comparison and analysis of the source text and the target text. Proofreading and correction. Checking of the style, fluidity and register of the language.
- Other customised services are available (see Remote secretarial services).
Which specialisms?
If your text contains specialist terms, it will be handled by a translator and a reviewer who specialise in the subject field in question. Please note that this may incur an additional cost compared to a text with more standard vocabulary. We also have access to several specialist dictionaries and a wide range of very reliable linguistic resources.
We translate technical texts in a number of subject fields including mechanics, industry, chemistry, marketing, law, medicine, multimedia, tourism, etc.
Which file formats?
We are able to translate different file formats while respecting the initial layout, starting with Microsoft Office files of course (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...).
As PDF files cannot be edited, we will ask you to provide us with the source files. If you only have PDF files, we will nevertheless take it upon ourselves to convert them into editable files.
We have professional software capable of extracting text from all types of files, and then recreating a file with a similar layout and extension once the translation has been completed. We therefore translate various DTP formats (Adobe FrameMaker .mif, InDesign .inx or .idml, InCopy .icml, QuarkXPress .xtg or .tag), in addition to tagged computer languages and entire websites (.html, .xhtml, .xml, .xliff, .xlf, .resx).
For these special formats, the final layout may have to be adapted in the corresponding software (e.g. enlarging a text block in Indesign if the target text is longer than the source text). This final formatting can be carried out by you or by our external computer graphics designer.
What quality?
Every translation you entrust AlsaTraductions with is handled by two professionals (translator + reviewer) to ensure systematic proofreading, in accordance with the fundamental principles of European quality standard BS EN-15038:2006.
We are committed to abiding by the deadlines and rates stipulated in the quote, as well as the absolute confidentiality of your documents (see Commitments).
